The Nigerian Civil Society has commended the Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Sani Magaji Tambuwal, for strategically transforming the National Assembly Bureaucracy with his effective and eccentric leadership style.
According to the Spokesperson of the just concluded Roundtable of Civil Societies in Abuja, Mr. Johnson Oche Okpe, the National Assembly Management under Tambuwal’s leadership has demonstrated exceptional performance in staff welfare, prompt payment of contractors, transparent and accountable management, infrastructural development, and renovation of both chambers of parliament.
Okpe lauded the smooth relationship between parliamentarians and parliamentary staff, as well as the prompt payment of staff allowances and packages. He noted that Tambuwal’s performance aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The commendation came after a roundtable discussion with civil societies in Abuja on Monday, May 6, 2024.
The Roundtable acknowledged Tambuwal’s commitment to good governance and urged him to continue his excellent work, as the Civil Society being the watch dog of the nation is fully vigilant should there be any infraction or impropriety in the NASS Bureaucracy.
